Not much knitting going on......

Phew! I've been busy with lots of things besides knitting. Last weekend Joe and I took an overnight trip to Niagara Falls to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. We went to Seneca Niagara Casino and had a blast - of course that means we came home with more money than we went with - which does not usually happen. This week we are watching the grandpup and he keeps me hopping. Maybe I'll lose a pound or two.

So this is what I have to share:

Green Ellen's Half Pint Yarn
Pattern: K4, Seed 3 on the leg, foot is plain
Needle: Addi size 1
Comments: Love the pattern, same one Jeannine and Ruth have been using. It looks nice,
but is not terribly soft, which is why I chose to make the foot plain. The yarn is wonderful.
Love the colors. I am becoming a fan of semi-solids.

I did add a reinforcement in the heel, since this is the same yarn I had trouble with before.

I am working on the Elizabeth Zimmerman Surplice baby sweater.
Reynolds Odyssey Yarn. It has been in my stash since Pam had her first
yarn tasting. Glad I can finally use it for something fun. The yarn is very
nice and the colors are great. (hard to tell from this picture).

And finally I am working on some red baby alpaca socks. The pattern is
Waterfall Rib from Charlene Schurch's book. The yarn is so soft I will keep
these for myself. I think they will need to be treated with lots of TLC so
they last.

Joe mowed the grass today and the smell coming in the house is sooooo nice.
Have a good week.

The tale of three sweaters................

1. My February Lady Sweater - F.I.N.I.S.H.E.D. yea! All done on Friday and I wore it to Easter dinner today. I need to get a new turtleneck to wear underneath in white. I really like the way it fits and it was fun to knit.

Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash Paints
Size 7 Needle
February Lady Sweater pattern found on Ravelry.

2. Ruth's Baby's & Bears baby sweater
Ruth finished up the Baby's & Bears sweater she has been working on for a very short time.
I think she used Reynolds Saucy cotton yarn. I love the yarn, and think it is very very cute!
Instead of a hood, she put on a nice collar. This is for her new great-niece, Parker, who is due
in the next month or so.

3. Martha's Sienna Cardigan from Interweave Knits Fall 2006 book
This is the interweave knits pattern in fall 2006, Sienna Cardigan. It has a rolled garter knit stitch neck. The little ladder detail is parallel to the front button band. The yarn is Foxfire Fiber and Designs from the Springdalle Farm in Shelburne Mass, near Martha's house. It is 75% Cormo wool and 25% Tussah silk. She said it is going fast since it is 4 sts/in. The color in the picture is more washed out than in real life.

(Did you notice both sisters made their sweaters in similar colors? Without knowing what the other one was doing.....)

We are all working on socks.....more progress on that next week.

Have a fun week....

Sailing thru the Lady Sleeves.............

I am desperately trying to get the February Lady sweater done to wear Easter Sunday.
I think I will make it. I'm done with one sleeve, and have a good start on the 2nd one.

Have been slowly working on the green socks. I am liking the pattern--which is semi-brainless.

It is a wonderfully sunny day here in Western NY. I've had the windows letting in the fresh air.

Not much more to talk about...back to that 2nd sleeve...the clock is ticking.
