Working on it

 Hi Dear Blog Readers,

How is it Sunday again already!  Today is a beautiful day here in Western New York!

I managed to finish the first sock, and have just a couple rows of ribbing done on the 2nd.  For some reason I have severe 2nd sock syndrome with this one. Probably because there are a lot of cable rows.  Three cable rows for every 8 rows of  pattern, and each cable row has two cables in each 8 stitch repeat. But, it turned out great.  Pattern is In The Fluff

Ruth is just about done with the back of her beautiful Robins Nest Cardigan.

A lot of cables also!

Martha is done with the knitting on her Naima sweater by Annestrick.  She said the pattern was challenging at times. She bought the yarn in 2019. Jill Draper yarn Ansel Natural 3 colorway.  She just has to add cuffs and buttons.  It think it's just lovely!

Here is a picture of yarn she has planed for her Daytripper sweater. She will be starting that this week.

In other news:

Martha's dog Penny is relaxing with her on the patio.  Such a cutie pie!

Mason came over on Friday. Joe drove him around on the 4-wheeler, which he loved.

Tiffany sent me this picture.  Apparently he helps himself to zucchini  now. ???!!!

I woke up early  Saturday morning and was debating whether or not to walk. Looked out of the window and say the sun shining on the field and decided it was a sign...so I went and walked!

Joe and I went to Buffalo for the day/night yesterday to celebrate our 39th anniversary.  We watched horse races ate a LOT, and listened to this very good band on Saturday night. The lead girl singer was amazing.

Today we went to the Buffalo naval yard to see the USS Sullivans ship that was starting to sink in the Buffalo harbor.  This boat is the USS Croaker.

This is the USS Sullivans

Have a good week dear blog readers...stay safe and be kind.

Happy Easter

 Hi Dear Blog Readers!

Happy  Easter!  Joe and I hosted dinner for our family and I didn't get one picture.  It was a great day but boy am I full.  LOL

This week I finished up the Daytripper Sweater.  I need to work on the steek, but I don't think that will happen for a couple of weeks.  I need a full day to be able to study youtube and then do it.

Almost done with heel stitches on the 1st In the Fluff sock

Ruth is working on her beautiful Robins Nest Cardigan by Anne Hanson.

 Notice how the cable changed!

Martha's sweater is coming along beautifully! She has   1.5” left on the bottom.  Then the pockets and sleeves.

Martha stopped at Green Mt Spinnery this weekend and bought this beautiful yarn for a sweater!

Jealous!  LOL

In other news:

Ruth sent this picture of the turkeys in her backyard this morning!

The moon was incredible on my walk one day this week..

It was Wed or  Thursday...looks like the sun, huh!

Tiffany spent a lot of time making an egg hunt for today. She filled 3 doz eggs with candy, and put them all over the yard.  Little Mason went outside, saw the 4-wheeler and could have cared less about the eggs!  So Uncle JoJo fired it up and away they went (at a crawl of course).   (He is much happier than this picture shows).

Tiffany took this picture earlier in the week.  She had to snap the picture quick because he rarely sits still!

Have a great week dear blog readers....

Stay safe and be kind.

Mindful

Ruth and I had a conversation about Mindfulness this week.  I got to see her in person which was the highlight of my week..YEA!  We are all sooo busy.  That is why I chose the name for this blog Knitatation.....knitting is my meditation...and probably yours as well.  Since I have been meditating more frequently my mind is much more clear. For real!  She meditates a lot also.

I didn't have  as much time to knit as I would have liked this week.

Ready to start color work on 2nd sleeve of Daytripper Cardigan.

Just barely a start on heel flap on first sock.

Ruth started a new sweater!  Pattern is Robins Nest Cardigan by Anne Hanson.  Yarn is Bare Naked Wool Fin Dandy 3 ply sport. (Anne Hanson yarn)

Martha is working away on her Naima sweater.  She has started pockets! Looks very nice don't you think!  The pattern is not easy to follow.

In other news:

Mickey is very mindful of where I am so he can steal my spot on the couch!

The blanket was covering the sheepskin and he moved it so he could sit there. He loves the sheepskin.  That is MY spot. All of my knitting tools, yarn and current project are within reach.  See that face..it is saying make me move...I dare you!

We have daffodils waiting to pop!

And hyachinth !  but it is sooo cold her today.  The wind is whipping.

I love this picture.  Yesterday Tiffany, Casey and I were at the site of her wedding shower discussing some things. Joey and Mason were with us.    it was not good.  It's a winery. Glass bottles all over. Tiffany said she was going to leave.  Mason wanted to get down and run around.  Joey said don't leave, I'll take Mason outside to play.  They had fun. What I really love about this picture is that Joey was being totally Mindful...playing with Mason. He had no idea Tiffany was taking this picture from the window of the winery.

Have a mindful, knitful week dear blog readers. Stay safe and be kind!

Moving along

 Hi Dear Blog Readers!

It has snowed almost all day here...nothing is sticking thank goodness.  I am so ready for spring!

I managed to get a couple repeats done on the Diamonds on the Fluff socks.  This is more of the right color than last week.  I accidentially put my hand on the sock when getting up last night and the needle snapped. See the broken needle in the bottom of the picture.  Have to figure out needle size and find another one. Sigh.........

Almost done with the first Daytripper sleeve.  Should be able to finish up tonight and maybe get a start on the 2nd one.

Speaking of the Daytripper. Ruth steeked hers yesterday.  Look how beautiful it came out!

Today she added buttons and it's done!!! Beautiful!

Martha is working on her sweater..she knit a lot this weekend! She has 5 increases done and 3 more to do. Then on to the pockets.   There’s a little bit of hidden color work in the pockets which will be very cute. She is anxious to start her daytripper.

In other news:

I have been able to get out and walk a couple of days this week, and this was my view on Wednesday morning.

Have a wonderful knitful week dear blog readers.
