Sock it to Me

 Hi Dear Blog Reader,

What a fast whirlwind week! Oh my goodness! Lots going on!

I've been going to physical therapy for shoulder issues. It may be frozen shoulder/may be a tear. Go back to Ortho Dr this week and will probably have to have cortisone shot. It has cut in to my knitting  time a bit since I have to rest it.  Not that  I've had tons of time to knit anyway. LOL.

I was able to find buttons for the baby sweater at  Walmart. We don't have many places close to me to get buttons.  JoAnn's has downsized their store and are not that close anyway.  They used to have two aisles of buttons with hundreds of choices...not anymore.  I'm happy with the outcome.  The color is accurate in the 2nd picture.

Baby Fir Jacket  - size 6-9 months

Cascade Heritage 6 yarn

The baby shower for my new granddaughter is TODAY so thankfully I got it done in time.

Ruth and Martha are both making socks from the hue Loco Rooster yarn Ruth gave us at Rhinebeck last year.

We are all working on socks!  Since they are working on theirs, I got my yarn wound this week. I love putting projects on sheepskin for photos...seems to be portray most accurate colors.

I have two rounds of ribbing done.  My colors are: Buckeye w/Vineyard and Plum.  I may knit a plain sock like they did since it's so nice, or I may use this pattern.

I also worked on this sock.  I started it way back in May before mom got sick, and had one sock (footie) almost done and had to rip. Started over and was halfway down the heel, and just could not work on it for a long time. Decided the pattern was not worth the trouble, and totally ripped.  Restarted and here I am. Or am I?

This is a pattern I made up, but is probably a real pattern someplace. \

Row 1:  Purl 2, Knit 4

Row 2:  Knit 1, Purl 2, Knit 4

Row 3: Knit 2, Purl 2, Knit 4

etc

But I was looking at it and something seemed a bit off.  I sized the needles and one of them is 2.25 and one is 2.50. UGH. So this is ripped back to the ribbing...AGAIN.  Where ever I purchased these needles from must have sent me two different sizes, and I never looked.  They are the only two gold sock needles I have so there are not two others in the pile somewhere. I spent a lot of time yesterday looking  to confirm that.

Oh, well...5th times a charm I guess.  I have to get two pair done for Christmas. Not sure if either of these will be presents.  And maybe make the boys something.  Usually I have several presents done by now.

Ruth is away this week at a lake in the Adirondack mts in New York.  She sent this sock pic mid week so I bet her 2nd sock is well underway by now.  See how pretty the Hue Loco colors are!

Martha is also working on her sock from the Hue Loco collection...such beautiful colors.

My socks will not be done by Rhinebeck, 3rd week of October, but theirs will be.

In other news:

Ruth sent this picture....so pretty and serene...

Have a good week dear blog readers....I'm off to get ready for the baby shower...what to wear???????

Have a good week!

Your little baby cardigan is darling. The button bands look so nice and neat. Best of luck with all the sock projects and the ortho appointment. I had a frozen shoulder a number of years ago and it wasn't fun but did eventually heal.
