Slowly Moving Along

 Hi Dear Blog Readers...

This week has been busy. I had to work in the office two days and a couple days were rainy which is a great thing, just not for walking.  I managed to knit a bit on the Waffle Pullover.  It's growing slowly. Probably time to try it on again to make sure the fit is still right.

Ruth is working on a cute cowl. Sparrow Song by Anne Hanson. Yarn is Spun Right Round.

Martha was too busy to work on her sweater during week, but managed to make good progress on the sleeve this weekend. I think its so beautiful.

 In other news:

We saw all of the kids this weekend...yea!

Mason invited us to his Fall Festival at school. I only have the picture Tiffany sent with their costumes on. They were both Spiderman. Tiff was spidermom.  Jayce went as a kid in pajamas. No picture.

Joey's kids came at noon on Saturday and left at noon today. They are adorable, but a handful.  Jack is sooo happy, and so is Charlotte.

Aunt Tiffy came and we painted pumpkins.  Well, some of the paint got on the pumpkin. Jack looks sad in this picture but he just wants to join the fun. Tiff gave him a brush that had water on it and he was happy. As you can see, Charlotte is paining her palm.  It was all good, and washable paint is awesome.

Joe and I watched the Bills win today. Yea. I'm going to knit now.  Have a good week dear blog readers.

Mini Post

Hi Dear Blog Readers...just a quick post since we got back from Rhineback in plenty of time to fill you in.

I worked on the sock while traveling. Got the heel flap started. I have more done on the sweater, but it looks mostly the same.

This is my haul from Rhinebeck.  Not much...but totally enough.  I'm excited to make Christmas socks and a sweater.

Ruth finished up her Cheatgrass cowl in Hedgehog fiber.  It's beautiful and so so soft.

Here is Ruth's haul from Rhinebeck. She is having a beautiful pink year.

Here is Martha's haul.  Such beautiful choices...

In other news:

We had a wonderful time at Rhinebeck. Beautiful weather.  Absolutely beautiful. We ate well, and had amazing girl time.  We knit, and giggled all weekend.  Did not get one picture of the three of us.

Here are a few pictures of the show.

Have a great week dear blog readers.

Movin On (YEA)

Hi Dear Blog Readers...Fairly nice weather her in Holley NY.  We had rain on Tuesday and Saturday. Not a lot but it was so welcomed.  I got out to walk most days.  I will be sad when it's too icy to walk. I will walk in the cold, but not on an icy driveway.

I got the Waffle Pullover back on track.  Tried it on, still needed a few rows before I split sleeves.  Knit. Tried it on. OK, take sleeves off.  Knit an inch, try it on...ok it fits so far so good!  Yea.  I am really trying to pay attention and I make sure I finish a whole row before I set it down.

Ruth ripped the sweater she started a while back...the fit was just not right. She started a darling little cowl. Cheatgrass by Ann Hanson.   Hedge Hog Fiber yarn. She is going to knit until she runs out of  yarn.  I think its adorable.

Martha is moving along on her sweater.  Remember, the pattern is in spanish, and she had to translate it. Then she had to flip the chart. I think it's going to be amazing.  She is thinking of limited or no colorwork on the sleeves.

In other news:

Some pics of my early morning walks.

This is the moon setting....

and the sun rising.

Joey's kids had to get tubes on Wednesday. Hopefully they are not so sick this winter season. This is before the procedures. I think this is so cute.

No blog next week. Ruth, Martha and I will be at Rhinebeck!

Have a good week.

Froggin / Rippin

Hi Dear Blog Readers...Such a beautiful weekend here in Holley NY.  Mid-80's with no humidity. If only it can be this nice when Ruth, Martha and I travel to Rhinebeck weekend.  We are making our lists and checking them twice.

So I am in the process of tinking back about 6 rows on the sweater.   If you look in the 2nd section down, you will notice I missed a purl row.  Not the whole row is like this I think that is why I didn't notice it right away.  I'm pretty sure I picked it up mid-row and wasn't paying enough attention.  Sigh. I have about two more rows to tink back.

Ruth and Martha are both ripping colorwork, so no new updates.

In other news:

I finished Happy Wife and enjoyed it. The ending felt a little rushed, but otherwise good.

The sun was so pretty shining on the field behind our house this morning.

Cornflowers are still full of color

Tiffany took boys to a fun farm this week
I love this picture
Whatever these climbing flowers are...they are beautiful.  I wish they looked like this in the summer.
See top right corner. That is jupiter. It was shining bright every morning this week.

Have a good week dear blog readers...
