Quick Update - Memorial Day

 Hi Dear Blog Readers,

Super quick update today..not a lot of commentary.

Joe and I worked outside most of the weekend and no pictures to share..yet!

Almost done with 4 repeats on the Feathering The Nest sock

1898 Hat is ready to be picked up around the edges

We went to Joey/Casey's today and had fun by the water.

Casey's niece Riley came so she and Mason could get acquainted. They will be flower girl and ring bearer at the wedding in September.

Joe and I met his sister at Indian Falls on Saturday for a nice dinner.  The falls were beautiful

Ruth is almost done with her 2nd front!  She worked VERY hard outside this week getting her shrubs, plants, trimmed and looking spiffy for the year. (no pics)

Martha has been suffering with carpul tunnel on her wrist.  Suffering in pain, and suffering because she cannot knit!  She and her husband got some plants potted.

They painted their furniture this pretty blue.  Such a nice spot to sit and relax.

More next week dear blog readers...I promise.

Have a great week.

Phew! Done!

 Hi Dear Blog Readers...

Since my last post on Mother's Day, I have finally finished the red socks! The  leg portion of the sock was a struggle...lots of concentrating...not hard at all..just fiddly. I love the final outcome.

Pattern is: Diamonds In the Fluff

Yarn: Fiber Optics Sock yarn

Started another sock, pattern is: Feathering the Nest Socks.  I like how the yarn has light spots in it.  Temporarily lost the yarn details, but it's nice.  LOL

Started a hat in Cascade 220. I've had this yarn forever.  Started a sweater with it years ago which I will probably never finish.  Looked a long time for yarn for the hat so I'm glad I came across this.

Patten is 1898 hat.  A lot of people did modifications on Ravelry but I will knit this one as written. If I make another I will look at the mods. It's a weird construction and kind of fun so far.  The white is a provisional cable cast on.

Ruth has finished up one front and has a start on another of her Robin's Nest Cardigan.

She was away last week and did not get much knitting in.

Martha found buttons for her Naima sweater. She was a little disappointed they didn't all match, but I think it's' an enhancement..truly I do.

In other news:

We took Mason thru the car wash today...he didn't  know what to think about it.

Have a good week dear blog readers.  Stay safe and be kind.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Dear Blog Readers. It is a splendly beautiful day here in Western New York!  I have  made progess on the 2nd sock.  Only half a repeat to go and I can start the heel gussett.  Yea!  I was in a bit of a panic yesterday..I lost the first sock!  Found it way down between the couch cushions..phew!  I did start a new pair of socks and have just a little ribbing done on it.  I feel much better if I have something brainless I can pick up and not have to think about.

Ruth is working away on her sweater front.  I think it is just lovely. So complex. She is doing a great job.

Martha is working on the sleeves of her Daytripper. She thinks the fit may be a bit small but I think once she blocks it and puts the button band on, it will look great.  Love her colors!!!!

In other news:

The family came for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day and Vicky's birthday.  We had a great day.  Everything outside is just sooo green and brilliant.  So beautiful.

FroggIt FroggIt

 Hi Dear Blog Readers,

I come to you this week with barely any knitting to show.  The Pattern in the Fluff Part 2 is proving to be a disaster. LOL.  I noticed last night that I had a mistake a few rows down.  Mixed up the cables.  Currently tinking back. It takes a long time to tink with all of the cables, but I don't want to rip. Each one of those completed shapes takes me about 45 minutes.  But, such is the life of a knitter.  So a frogging I will go!  I am not happy knitting this. I need a break. I hate knitting it.  Ruth told me to put it down and knit something fun so once I get it fixed, I am going to do just that. (I almost always listen to Ruth)!

Ruth is making great progress on her Robin's Nest Cardigan.  In this picture she has to frog back a few rows, but she is fast and probably well past that point already.

Martha is mostly done with her beautiful Naima sweater.  It's waiting for buttons. She set them on so you can see how they will look.  See the peek-a-boo colors in the pockets...look close. So fun!

She has made great progress on her Daytripper this week. She added some colorwork under the teal that was not on the pattern for more pizzazz.  I love it. It looks very Southwestern to me.

In other news:

I have a lot of walking steps in this week. This makes me happy.  The weather has been nice in the mornings so I can walk before the distraction of the day starts.  Some mornings had frost on the ground, but it was still nice when I bundled up.

We went to dinner with mom and dad last night to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. They were so happy.  We had a great time.

We had Mason for a couple of hours yesterday and had SO MUCH FUN with him.  I didn't get any pictures.  Tiffany sent me this one she took at the playground. The playground "floor" is  made of rubber to cut down on injuries.

Have a good week dear blog readers.  Stay safe and be kind.
