Slow Knitting Week

It was a slow knitting week for me....
Here are some awful pics of me in the
Wandering through the Souk sweater.
It is soo easy to wear.  I like it a lot...

This is the Avana all done...
Can wear as a shawl

 Or shrug.

I think it will be nice during the summer on a chilly evening.

 I have been faithful to this sock all week, but
did not get a lot of knitting done. 

Ruth finished her first sock and is starting the 2nd.
Show off stranded sock pattern....CUTE !



Martha started this yarn with a very complex
pattern that didnt show because of the yarn.
Now she is working plain socks. The yarn
is just lovely.



Joe and I went to Niagara Falls for the
weekend.  Look at the ice still there.

 It was a beautiful day...

 We had a pool in the hotel...all to ourselves!
and it was warm!

Little Knitting

I managed to get in a little knitting this week.
The blob is done and blocking.  Here it is before bindoff.
Avana pattern.

Yarn is Queensland Joey's Baby Silk
I got a good deal at Little Knits on a bag.
I'm hoping to use the rest for baby stuff, but
it's hand wash only. Not sure if I could do that
to a new mom!  LOL

The 1st picture above is most accurate color

Size 9 needles stockinette, and size 8 lace

Started 2nd sock for Joey:

 Slowly working on Size 12 sock

Ruth is working on Tomten -- soooo cute. She has

the pattern totally down pat.  I love her colors!

She is also working away on her sock...

I love the pattern with the colors....

Martha is traveling this week, so no pics from her.
I think we better showcase her next week!

A week off

Hi dear blog readers...
I don't have much to show today...the blob is bigger.
Ruth was working on a baby sweater but ripped it out.
Nothing new from Martha to share.
So....until next week....happy  knitting !

Busy

Ruth has been busy this week with her knittnig!
She finished up her ButtonBox Vest, free pattern
on Knitty. Using Harrisville yarn.

It's a real beauty, huh!  Very stylish.  Congratulations...

She is working on a sock... pattern is Show Off Stranded Sock
Yarn is Western Sky Knits

And last but not least, she is knitting her mother-in-law's cat
a new toy.  Silken Braid Catnip Mouse by Mare Joy Smith.
 Yarn is Madelinetosh Plaid Blanket.

I am working on the blob, which is not very exciting.
Knit 10 inches then fold work in 1/2 and join on needles
to knit in the round.  Avana pattern and yarn is
Joey's baby silk.  So far, I like the yarn a lot.

we will see how this comes together....
