What do you get....

when you knit for 10 days on a size 8 needle?

Why the body of a sweater, of course!  And, not much knitting was done
during the week. Had a hellaova week at work...so glad tomorrow is a
fresh start.

I tried the seater on as I went, and I'm relying on the swatch....I really
hope it fits well when done.

I added stitches near the bottom to fit my "womanly curves"
aka huge hips!

Also slipped the 1st stitch of each row. Not sure if it made a difference
in stockinette, but it looks nice anyway.

Now I need to pick up for the arm.

I kept track of all of the rows, on little post its, to make sure the buttonholes
were in the right place, and to make sure the increases looked right.

I'm really happy with how it is turning out so far. Cross your fingers
it fits!

Martha is working on a kimono style baby sweater.
Martha's words:
I am using a Kimono pattern. It is knit out of tufootsie yarn.
Remember that yarn from years ago? I am making the sleeves with no white stripes. This is for a woman at work that is not sharing the sex of her baby. She's a
knitter too so I hope she likes it. I will check for buttons tomorrow
and see if I have any that work.
I would also like to say that my great nephew is loving his handmade

sweater. Why you ask? Not because it is a handmade sweater,
it is because it has car buttons! Love little kids. Happy knitting! Martha

Adorable !!!!

Ruth and Martha were in Seattle this week. Martha left on Wed redeye. Ruth
stayed till Saturday. She worked on a sock while she was there.
Monkey sock by Cookie A.  Miss Babs yarn, Biker Chick color.

I have yet to make a monkey sock... I love the colors with the pattern, don't you?

Ruth is now on Oaklahoma watching her granddaugher Moriya dance in a
competition.

Isn't she lovely? So professional and focused.

Well no spring this week. Snowed like crazy  this morning.
Brrrrr cold week ahead...

Happy knitting friends.
