I'm that person

 Hi Dear Blog readers....

This post comes after a particularly hard week at work and busy weekend. All good.

I finished up the knitting on Jayce's sweater. I will wait till fall to see how big he is to bind off. 

I started a scrappy hat.  Size 13 needle. 40 stitches.  The yarn is a guess. Four strands for the ribbing The bigger blue is worsted maybe. The other ones are fingering.  Ribbing was 4 strands. It seemed too loose so I added the red on the stockinette to make it 5 strands. It's not bad to work with if I don't move the balls around.  I am that person that saves bigger bits and pieces. These were all bigger balls of leftovers.

I am two rows in on decreasing for the top This is maybe 2 hours of knitting or so.  Bloggers are making tons of them to donate. I will probably donate or put in a drawer to put on kids when they come over.  The next one I may make smaller and Mason can keep it in his backpack and give it to a kid at school that does not have a hat. Of course he has 7 or 10 hats since I'm his grammy...hahahah  

 Ruth had a few stops and starts with her sweater but now  the button bands are done. It sure is beautiful.  It just needs buttons now.

 Martha finished her beautiful sweater. She even wore it this week on a cooler day.

 Martha is working on a new shawl.   Fun triangles!

In other news:

We had Joey's kids last night and so much fun, but exhausting.  Here are few pics.

I had a large paper towel delivery from Amazon and saved the box.  I put crayons in there and the kids spent a good amount of time in there coloring, having snacks, having a drink etc.  It was fun. 

Joe put water in his snow sled and they had a blast playing in that.

Charlotte was amazed by clothespins. So Joe put her crackers on them.  LOL

 Hi Dear Blog Readers,

It's a beautiful Sunday, Father's Day, here in Western New York.  The weather has been weird again this week.  Lots of wind and storms.  

Last week, my blog friend, Karen, commented on the blog. Saying she loved the stripes on the sweater. Thank you for commenting Karen, because I had forgotten about the sleeve stripes until you wrote that!  I  was at the perfect spot to start them without having to rip.

Ready to start the 2nd sleeve.  I will try on Jay in the fall and see if it should be a little longer body or sleeve before I bind off.

I played around with yarn to starty a scrapy hat but didn't have the right size needle. The cost for needles is a lot lately.  I found these on Amazon for under $10 each.  One size 13 and one size 15. I'll see what I like better.

Look at Ruth's beautiful Tinder sweater.  She has all of the pieces sewn together, and one button band done.  It's so pretty.  
 

 Martha is done with her Sea Fret cardigan. Buttons are sitting on top waiting to be sewn on.  So pretty huh!  Love the color.

 In other news:

Joe and I took a little overnight to Ithaca NY this week. It is known for waterfalls.  Beautiful.

Stuff

 Hi Dear Blog Readers...How is summer treating you?  So far so good here. We have had the air conditioning on this week.  The flowers are so pretty.

You would think I would have more knitting done after  two weeks, but just half of a sleeve.  

Ruth has all of the pieces of her sweater knit. Now she's blocking and waiting for it to dry.

 

She and Martha stopped at Green Mt Spinnery on their travels last week. She got this nice yarn:

Look at the sign on this general store marque they passed in their travels...it literally has everything!

 Martha is traveling again this weekend. She has a lot done on her sweater. Working on the collar now.

 

In other news:

We had kids here a lot this week which was fun. Here are a few pics:

Jack and Charlotte spent the night Friday.  They are eating popsicles I made.  It was fun till Jack put his in the bottle of bubbles!

Bust

 Hi Dear Blog Readers...

The blog is a bust this week.  I have only knit a few rows on the 2nd sock.

Ruth and Martha are traveling together to see Martha's daughter in Maine.(reminder, they are sisters).

We had a lot of family time this weekend which was wonderful.
