The Afterglow

I am still feeling the afterglow of Rhinebeck that Ruth, Martha and I attended last week.  The show facilitators did a great job ob separating booths.  In the afternoon, there seemed to be just as many people there as always. We were lucky to get out of there by 1:30ish or so.  We had great weather. NO rain.  Shopping in T-Shirts!  We did have some terrible rain in the evening when we went to dinner and poor Martha was driving us. It was sooo hard to see...she did a great job keeping us safe.  I think the leaves have changed more here in Western NY than in the Hudson Valley, but still beautiful.

Since last blog update, I started and finished a pair of Wisconsin Socks for my dad.  Berroco Vintage Worsted and KnitPicks Stroll fingering yarns held together. Very big.  They are supposed to be.  Dad's feet are always cold so I think he will appreciate these in the winter when he's lounging in the house.  Fast knit.  On to the next Christmas present.  I still have:

Joe, Tiffany, Joey and  Mason to knit for.

Here is a picture of my Rhinebeck stash.  I did not get much, but got really nice things. The fleece has curly hair and I just love it.  The purple yarn will be a sweater. The blue yarn is Miss Babbs fingering. No nylon so will be a little shawlette.  The little dish is just lovely.

Mickey has kind of taken over my fleecee. I have to keep it covered with a blanket.

We saw these cute sheep at the event.

Here is Ruth's stash.  She got lots of wonderful things.  Her things are sitting on a nice wool blanket.  She has yarn for 3 sweaters.  NICE!

Her current sweater using the lighter green yarn from Green Mt Spinnery in above photo above.

Catboat cardigan. Amy Christophers. Green mountain Spinnery alpaca elegance DK weight.

Here are pictures of Martha's stash..she also got a lot of wonderful things:

She looked and looked for green yarn and found this near the end. Her  stuff is sitting on a beautiful fleece she bought.

Martha is in NYC this weekend visiting her son and was able to get to a yarn shop!  The last yarn picture is some yarn she is going to use to make her son an alpaca sweater.  They packed a lot of yarn into this little store!

And finally, our little trick or treater sat still for about 2 seconds so his mom could snap this picture:

Have a great week dear blog readers. Be kind and stay safe.
