Happy Summer!

Happy Summer - it finally feels like it has arrived!
I have FINALLY finished the red socks. They are very very nice,
and oohhhh sooooo soft. They should have been done in MAY!
I am giving them to my friend Betty for her birthday on Friday.
I know she will like them, and will properly take care of them.

I started the Wee socks from the KnitterlyThings Wee Sock kit.
Alex, from sock class made a pair that made the whole room go
oooohhh and aaaahhhh.

I love knitting stripes, always have. It seems to go by faster...always
anticipating the next color change.

I have made good progress on the Luna Moth shawl. Now, there
is a lot of knitting that has been done on this thing. I have done 4 repeats.
It now takes 25-30 minutes to do one knit row and one purl row.
But, it is so easy.....just keep repeating the same 10 stitches for the whole
row (except for a few at the beginning and end). The photo does not do
the colors justice. Reminder using Schaeffer Anne yarn.

For some semi-brainless knitting I started a scarf using up
the silk yarn I made the French Girl sweater out of.

We have been having tons of fun around here. Very busy for the 4th of July.
Joe and I went to Seneca Niagara Casino and had fun....saw fireworks at the
falls, etc. This weekend my niece Destiny came for the weekend and we went
to the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester. The white tiger is quite fascinating.

Well, I better get back to my Sunday stuff...time to re=paint the toenails!!!!!!!!
