Spring!

 Hi Dear Blog Readers...

We have all been waiting a long time for this...SPRING!  It has been gushing rain here all day, and it gushed all day on Friday also.  At least it's not snow!

Joe and I went on a mini vacation Thurs/Fri home on Saturday.  I like those mini get aways.  Not so overwhelming. We can share a suitcase. Everything put away 30 minutes after we are home!

I managed to finish up the 2nd sock while we were away.

I love this yarn. Bumblebee Acres.  I wish you could feel it!

Not blocked and a few ends to clean up.

I've never made Christmas socks before.  They are socks, so no one will know I am wearing a festival on my feet...but I will!

German short row heel. I did the first repeat in the color and 2nd repeat in the red.

I have a little start to Mason's Buffalo Bills sweater. I have a chart of a buffalo for the back, but it might be too big. And I would have to learn intarsia in the round.  Or, I can do a couple of white/red stripes and buy a Buffalo Bills patch.  I'm still noodling on that.

We visited a little yarn shop on Thursday in East  Aurora NY on our travels. I got some soak, and an obligatory sock yarn. This color is so pretty. Not really showing up well.

If you took Ruth's favorite green, and Martha's favorite teal, and they had a baby--it would be this color!

Ruth finished up her beautiful x 100000000 sweater. Dark Roast Smock.  I think she knit it pretty quick considering how complex it is.  Look at the perfect fit!

Beautiful!!!!!

She is now knitting mice (cat toys) until she starts her next sweater which will be a  Ranunculus

Martha is working away on her stripey sweater!  Love the fun colors! One more stripe sequence, and she will start the bottom!

 In other news:

Martha had this flock of turkeys in her backyard yesterday!!!

This big air balloon was in our view from our hotel room.  It went up and down.  It's tied to not fly away. Fun to watch.

We got to see the darlings today.

Have a good week dear blog readers!

I love the socks especially the contrasting toe and cuff. It's springtime here as well, I am enjoying the flowers and the sun. Not the hot weather.
