My Kind of Fun

 Hi Dear Blog Readers....

Sunny and cold!! here in Western NY today. Yesterday it was 60...today is is 30!   Welcome Spring!

I finished the Dancing T Rex Sweater this week.  

Size 7 needle.  Lettilopi Yarn.

Size 3/4

I'm so glad it's done...I was really sick of knitting it.  I tried it on Mason before it was blocked and it was really big on him. He is still mostly a size 2.

I dug thru  my stash and found the springiest yarn I had.  Spun Right Round Classic Sock yarn --color Shattered.  Spent a long time looking at Ravelry for a lace shawlette pattern and finally settled on Shady Grove.  Size 5 needles.

I wasn't  quite sure if the leaf pattern would show up enough in the sprinkle yarn, but I think it will be fine when blocked.  This pattern is a little complex because the lace pattern is not a muliple of x stitches so no markers.  It just is what it is. Good news is there are only max of  25 stitches. It changes with every pattern repeat of 20 rows.  Lace is MY KIND OF FUN.  I've missed it.

Ruth continues to work on the Tomten sweater. She has made great progress this week. It's sooo cute!  It's a different construction that she has mastered. I've never made one.

Martha is done with her cute socks!  I don't have the totally complete picture here. They will be fun to wear for sure!

She bought this fun yarn to knit. She is planning to make the shawl that Max the Knitter is making.

This is some Ann Hanson yarn she purchased. She is going to make the Florence sweater with it.  She jokingly said in 2024! She has a lot of fun stuff in  the planning stages.

In other news:  

I took Mason to the playground yesterday for a little while. We both had so much fun!  He looks so old in these pictures but  he is still a little peanut.

I read a really good book this week.  I had to wait a long time to get it from the library.  I read both real books and e-books...whatever becomes available first. This one was worth the wait in my opinion. The characters stayed with me after I was done. Not sure what I will read next.
