Hi Dear Blog Readers!
I worked a little on the Shady Grove Shawl this week. Not much more left...the rows are going quick now. It's a really fun knit.
Ruth started a sweater this week and it's a beauty! Haskell by Gudrun Johnson Part of a Brooklyn Tweedcollection. Yarn is hand spun from weavers guild of Kalamazoo. Color is wood duck. She has made quick work of the front.
Martha's sweater is coming along quick also! Pattern is by Petite Knit - named Elisabeth Blouse
It has a placket and she had to figure that out this week (aka pattern is not that great at explaining it).
It will be very pretty!
Her little sock is coming along also,.
In other news:
Ruth made peasant bread...and it looks so good I had to try it.
Here is hers:
I made some today with a little different technique. Made in a loaf pan. It's not quite done yet...and it takes longer than traditional Knead bread.
Today is our 40th wedding anniversary. That went quick!
We took a drive to Seneca Lake yesterday. Sat on the patio at Ventosa winery and had a glass of wine overlooking the vineyards and lake. It was so nice.
I took Mason to the playground on Friday. On Tuesday, he will no longer be an only child. That nine months sure went quick! Stay tuned for updates!
Have a good week dear blog readers.
