Springy

 Hi Dear Blog Readers,

It looks very springy here today, though it is still very cold.  I love the bright sunshine!

I have finally finished up the socks I started before the new year.

As a reminder Martha thought it would be fun if the three of us got the same yarn and made socks for real in-person Rhinebeck next year.  Mine are done....phew!

Dancing Leaf sock blank.  I wound the sock blank into a ball, then weighed it, and split into two balls.  I like it a lot!  They are quite long.  I just finished before doing the blog. Ends to weave in and block. I'll show them on my feet next week.

Front - pattern is Double Eyelett. Toe up. From Modern Daily WANDERLUST sock book.

I'm really glad they are done!

I am starting a Sunnyside Cardigan baby sweater. That will be my focus this week.

Baby shower on March 29th.  Found some Universal yarn Cotton Supreme in stash. It will make a nice sweater. I hate knitting with cotton.  Does anyone else?

Finished up the Alpine headband. I love how the edging came out.

Here it is on. For my friend. She is same coloring as me so I think it will look good on her.

No judging my face or wrinkles please...just look at knitting . Taking selfies are not my thing. LOLOL

Ruth made a really cute, soft, fuzzy hat.  Slyngrose Beanie from Dizzy Knitter.  Gedifra Superfine Alpaca yarn. I saw it this week.  Really nice!

She started a sweater - Fehling from Brooklin Tweed in the Bartlett Rag yarn.

One sleeve done!  It's really nice!

Martha is really moving along on her new sweater.  Oban

She is switching skeins because of color differences.  I think it looks great.  Lots of knitting this week!

Here is pattern:

In other news:

We took a ride to Holley  Falls this morning.

It looks like big rocks in between the falls, but look close - it is ice!

I did a lot of cooking today.  White chicken chili for lunch this week, and a big pot of  meat sauce. I was good and had half pasta, half spaghetti squash.

Have a good week dear blog readers.

Stay safe and be kind.
